Saturday night I had the chance to go out to The Keg with Brandon and his mom, aunt & younger brother Ryan. We settled into a comfortable booth, and I immediately began to peruse the menu. There was so much to choose from! Although I had been glancing at the online version of the menu, there were a few things that were different. Brandon's mom let us order an appetizer to start, so Brandon and I shared the calamari - by shared, I mean, I had most of it & Brandon paced himself (because he's smarter than me). The waitress also brought by some fresh baked bread. Who can say no to that!? I for sure didn't. Drinks were served to those who ordered - I started off with a mojito. It was light and refreshing, and it had a nice tangy, minty taste. Soon, we were ordering our entrees. I ordered the mustard salmon with asparagus & a twice baked potato. If you guys haven't tried a twice baked potato, DO IT NOW. They are sinfully delicious (as was my kiwi-tini I ordered during my meal). Being the kind person that I am, I snapped pictures of Ryan & Brandon eating, and then caught Toni & Bonnie with their lobster tails. I also tried to give Brandon bunny ears in one picture, but they were more like little nubs coming out of his head. Didn't work out. However, I did attempt to jab him with my fork!
After picture time, we talked a bit and glanced over the dessert menu. At this point I was more than sufficiently full (having eaten a Lindt white chocolate bunny & a handful (or seven) of macaroons before we left), but I opted for the cherry cheese cake. Brandon's mom had fun cracking the top of her creme brulee, and Brandon ordered a giant brownie sundae - smothered with whipped cream, ice cream & chocolate sauce - with a cherry on top, of course! I managed to eat half of my cheesecake before I decided I couldn't eat any longer. It was a good thing my dress was baggy, because on the way home I was pushin' my belly out and fell asleep on Brandon's shoulder. Classy, I'd say!
I wore a dress by CostaBlanca, gifted Guess bracelet & a pair of Spring Shoes embellished flats (kind of pictured).
Tomorrow I will post my Easter festivities! I'm catchin' up!
Oh my gosh! That cheesecake looks so good. Drool!
