Busy

1. Delicious yam fries
2. Equally (if not more) delicious oatmeal: cinnamon, vanilla, banana, fresh blueberries & a touch of coconut milk.
3 & 4. A gorgeous rosy pink polish.
5. Taking pictures in my car before work.
6. No, I don't enjoy brushing my hair.
7. Happy birthday to my dad (August 26th)!
8. The best parents in the world. I am truly blessed!
9. An indoor Bonsai tree! It was a gift from my team at work & I am so excited for it!
10. Quick bathroom snap shot (I knew you guys missed these) before heading for lunch + shopping with my friend Sheridan. Unpictured American Eagle skinny jeans, Joe Fresh navy blue tank, Smart Set striped cardigan & gifted scarf.

I apologize for not posting that often. My life has been consumed with working & trying to catch up with people and pack my things before I head off to Vancouver. When is that happening? This weekend. My last day of work is tomorrow & I'll have a few days off before I go to the big city. I am nervous, excited, hopeful and ready, all at the same time.

Embellishment

Hello friends! I apologize for the hiatus. I've been working, visiting with friends & relaxing. It's always nice to have that combination (especially when good food is thrown into the mix). Anyway, this is my outfit from yesterday. I wore the same outfit a month or so ago, but with the cardigan open... Hey, when it's buttoned up it's practically a new top! I used the dry shampoo above and it smells wonderful - however, it's probably best to use when you HAVEN'T gone for a run. I'm so unhygienic, I know.

Smart Set jeggings, sister's cardigan, Talula/TNA oversized shirt, Smart Set headband & I wore some embellished flats from Spring (unpictured).

I hope you all have had a good week so far! It's crazy how fast the days fly by now. Boo hoo (and woohoo, since we're closer to summer!)

Anchors Away!

I apologize for being so late on a new post. I couldn't find my camera cord for the longest time, and it was especially frustrating since I KNEW I had JUST had it (you know those moments?), and my sister found it on the arm chair in the living room. Turns out I wasn't looking hard enough!

Here is a random mish-mash of pictures for you guys. I forgot I had this purple shirt, and I was planning on wearing it with some cuffed skinny jeans & oxfords today, but of course I haven't been able to find my jeans, so that outfit was a no-go. Perhaps my sister should take a look for them. Anyway, this is the (boring) outfit I came up with:

Button up shirt: Old Navy, Jeggings: Smart Set, Necklace: Aldo Accessories

Oh, and those cookies? Hurry on over to my house - there's still some left (and they are mighty yummy, too)!

The Infinite Divine

Hello friends!

I hope your Tuesday is going well. It feels like the day FLEW by today! I started the morning off with a run & some abs, but instead of doing my usual treadmill run, I took it outside. It felt good to get some fresh air in my lungs, and it wasn't too cold either which was a bonus for 7 AM! I got home around 7:30 AM, and plugged in the Skinny Bitch Bootcamp DVD. The DVD is in a few different sections: abs, legs, butt, arms, & meditation. They are each twenty minutes long, so to extend my work out, I went with the ab section. Hey, summer is right around the corner, so I'm hoppin' to it! Plus I'm running in the Twilight Shuffle in June, so I figure "training now" won't hurt!

My most recent (pink) purchase (fashion wise): Joe Fresh Barbie t-shirt. Cute and comfortable, perfect for lounging around the house! The best part: It was $3.00. Yeah boiiii!!
My most recent (food) purchases (not pictured): Chia seeds & Greek yogurt. YUM YUM YUMMY!

Today's outfit: Smart Set jeggings, Aritizia oversized t-shirt/dress, my sister's striped hooded cardigan (from Bluenotes). I also wore a pair of red bow flats (not pictured).

I hope you all have a fabulous evening! I can smell dinner cookin' away and it's making me huuuuungry!

Discotech

What I'm wearing: Oversized shirt - Old Navy, Jeggings - Smart Set, Flats - Payless Shoes (Not pictured)
Just a simple outfit from yesterday. It was my first day back to work for the week, and the night before had been awful. You know those nights where everything irritates you & totally drains you of any desire to do anything and/or get out of bed? Yes, it was one of those days. In fact, it was one of those mornings because the feelings hadn't subsided during my slumber. I have been running every morning for the past week - not yesterday! You'd think I did judging by the bags under my eyes, hey? Nevertheless! Enough with the negativity. The last picture shows a funny sight I saw across the street from work. Seriously. Who gets their car up there like that without any dents? That takes talent!

I'm a day behind on outfits here. Look forward to a little vintage touch & some shiny bows in the next one (tomorrow)!

Have a fabulous night all!

Shopping!

I had a day off today. I know, right? It's amazing. So how did I spend it? My sister and I decided to spend the day roaming the mall and sitting on the floor of Chapters. I mean, we aren't *those* people that you see flipping through books while strewing our purses and whatnot everywhere. Oopsies!

I'm wearing: Jeggings by Smart Set (yeah, they're comfy, whatever), white T from Walmart (classy), and a necklace by Smart Set as well. We also indulged in some fro-yo. It was my first time ever having it, and I even got a free sample of the blueberry acai flavour. Delicious! If I lived closer, I would go there all the time. It's a blessing in disguise that it's a half hour commute.

Hope you all had a great Monday!

Knotted Up

Here are a few photos of my outfit from yesterday. I spent the majority of my day off shopping, and I found some super great deals out there! When I post what I purchased, you'll notice that I checked one of the items off my "Currently Craving" list - for a fabulous price!

1. I got this scarf from my friend Jenna as part of a birthday gift a couple years ago. It's unbelievably silky and soft, and the fact that there's leopard print has me all over it. I love me some leopard!

2. Walmart leopard print flats - can you say bargain hunter?!

3. Smart Set long sleeve, gifted Forever21 (I think?) scarf & a very goofy me!

I will post today's outfit & my awesome finds after work today! Hope you all enjoy your day!

To Infinity & Beyond

1. The most comfy slipper like shoes you'll ever place upon your feet (if you buy them, that is. I don't like sharing!). I purchased these at a store called Wall Street for a whopping $13.00! They are made by Roxy, and were originally $30.00 or something like that - I'm glad I grabbed them when I did!

2. Today's outfit, worn with Pashu skinny jeans. This infinity scarf is so warm and cozy! My mom bought it at a SheShe accessory party and so kindly let me borrow it to wear to work today (and around the house, as I am right now). I wore it with a royal blue long sleeve shirt from Smart Set and a striped cardigan from Smart Set as well.

3. My sister and her friend Rachel baked some cookies last night for Rachel's mom's birthday. However, Rachel forgot nearly half of them here (she took some for the gift, left some for us). Lucky for me though, I went for a run yesterday morning (and this morning, as I snuck a cookie when I got home), so I didn't feel too bad about having a cookie or two! They followed a standard chocolate chip recipe, but instead of the regular milk chocolate, they used white chocolate and rainbow chips. Yum!

I hope you all have a fabulous Friday night! My friend is having her 19th birthday party tonight, so I'm wanting to check that out for sure!

Chains, Zippers & Olives

I introduce to you all... The olive printed shirt! My sister originally found this at the local thrift store in town. You'd be amazed at what you can find! It is by Mexx, and would retail for more than $2.00, which is probably what my sister paid for this! I love how the fabric is sheer, whimsical, and has just the right amount of movement. It makes you feel like you are wearing a floaty pajama top... With olives on it.

My mom suggested that I needed to wear colourful shoes with my outfit. I was eyeing up a pair of old, red ballet flats, but then I remembered I had these shoes! I had bought them at Spring Shoes for something like $30.00, so they were a great steal - half price! The zipper detailing is super cute, and the best part is that the zippers actually work! They don't do anything and are simply there for style, but I thought that was an interesting (and pointless) feature. Last night was only the second time I've worn these shoes, and the soles are a tad bit slippery because of that fact. Nevertheless, they worked!

I wore my hair in a simply high, messy bun with my bangs sweeped back. For my make up, I recreated a brown and gray smokey eye in my kind of way - easy and fuss free, since I am not the best at my make up! You can't exactly see my make up in this picture, and no matter how hard I tried to snap a blog-appropriate picture of the brown and gray hues, it just wasn't working for me. Oh well. That's how the cookie crumbles.

The olive bunches up close. Now, I'm not exactly sure if they meant for the print to look like olives, but really. What did you guys think when you first saw the print? Exactly. Olives forever!

Last three pictures:

1. This is half of the outfit I wore for work today. I am by myself, so I wanted something fuss free! You can't see it in the picture that well (if at all), but my cardigan has thick purple and black stripes on it. I haven't worn it in a while, and I am just discovering all over again how cozy it is!

2. Me so sleepy! Under my cardigan is a simple oversized white T-shirt with a little pocket on the left side. I sometimes wear it to bed, because it's one of those items that you could literally live in without feeling restricted. You can also dress up a white T if you chose to, or you could make it more casual. It's a versatile piece & a great staple in EVERYONE'S wardrobe (yes, even you men!)

3. These are actually two different necklaces with lots of chain strands on them. I think it adds a little more interest to an otherwise plain white T-shirt! Besides, I think layering necklaces makes it edgy in a girly way, if you know what I mean!

Outfit one: Thrifted Mexx shirt, Pashu jeans (not pictured), black tank top from Walmart (yeah, Wally-world!), purple zipper pumps by Spring Shoes.

Outfit two: Oversized white T from Walmart, purple and black striped cardigan by Urban Behavior, Pashu skinny jeans (not pictured), both chain necklaces by Smart Set.

Now, I didn't take too many pictures from last night, because we were all playing games and whatnot (well, I mostly watched since it was Harry Potter Scene-It and Friends Scene-It, both of which I'm not too well educated on!) but I will post of the ones I did take later! I don't want this post to get too long and have you guys get exhausted and overwhelmed with all the reading!

Happy Tuesday!

Holly xoxo
