Celebrity Trends: Stripes!

Ashley Tisdale steps out looking super cute in her sunny nautical stripes & cut off denim shorts.

Celebrities everywhere are embracing the stripes! Red stripes, blue stripes, green stripes, black stripes... Check out the jean varieties here too - flared, cropped, skinny, boyfriend fit. Chic & cool!

Lauren Conrad keeps it cute and cool in a simple pair of flip flops paired with a chic brown Miu Miu bag and a floaty striped top.

Whitney Port is an expert at mixing prints - stripes and plaid have never looked better, especially paired with some studded heels, black tights & a classic Chanel bag.

What's YOUR favourite trend and how will you be wearing it this season?

P.S. Happy Mother's Day - I'll have a recap tomorrow! Have a wonderful Sunday, friends!

St. Patty's Stripes

I started off St. Patty's Day with a green monster smoothie! For any of you who read food/fitness blogs, you've probably seen the smoothie + spinach mix before. Well, it's one of my favourites (I had one this morning as well), and it seemed fitting for the occasion! My mom also reminded me that I needed to wear green. I felt a little silly in this shirt, mainly because I've lost weight and it's baggy and just looks weird from the front. Anyway, it did the trick.

I'm wearing: Striped shirt from Old Navy, Pashu skinny jeans, Forever 21 flower bobby pin, Dollhouse via Winners oxford shoes, Gap necklace.

Have a fabulous Friday everyone! I know I'm a bit behind on outfit posts STILL. I'm debating whether I should post today's outfit TODAY or wait until tomorrow. Speaking of tomorrow, more work. Woooh. On the up side, I'm seeing my best friend Lauren as she's home for the weekend from school. I can't wait until I move to Vancouver & we can hang out more often!

Ciao for now!

To Infinity & Beyond

1. The most comfy slipper like shoes you'll ever place upon your feet (if you buy them, that is. I don't like sharing!). I purchased these at a store called Wall Street for a whopping $13.00! They are made by Roxy, and were originally $30.00 or something like that - I'm glad I grabbed them when I did!

2. Today's outfit, worn with Pashu skinny jeans. This infinity scarf is so warm and cozy! My mom bought it at a SheShe accessory party and so kindly let me borrow it to wear to work today (and around the house, as I am right now). I wore it with a royal blue long sleeve shirt from Smart Set and a striped cardigan from Smart Set as well.

3. My sister and her friend Rachel baked some cookies last night for Rachel's mom's birthday. However, Rachel forgot nearly half of them here (she took some for the gift, left some for us). Lucky for me though, I went for a run yesterday morning (and this morning, as I snuck a cookie when I got home), so I didn't feel too bad about having a cookie or two! They followed a standard chocolate chip recipe, but instead of the regular milk chocolate, they used white chocolate and rainbow chips. Yum!

I hope you all have a fabulous Friday night! My friend is having her 19th birthday party tonight, so I'm wanting to check that out for sure!

Inspiration

1. I love the look of striped shirts with tough accessories like a studded purse. It's like nautical meets the tough girl trend that was all over this summer (think florals with tough girl boots).

2. A pop of bright blue in the form of a Prada bag plus loads of fur is unexpected yet fun. I have been looking into faux fur jackets, but I can never find one that I like that doesn't look A) cheap or B) monstrous.

3. These shoes are either legit Miu Miu platforms or the ones by Forever 21. Nevertheless, I have been looking at these for quite a while, and I have decided that I need some (preferably the Miu Miu ones, but I won't complain if I end up with the F21 ones)!

4. This picture is similar to the first in that it pairs casual clothes with studded accessories. Another note: I want my hair this long, and go for a hair cut tonight. This is a big deal considering I haven't had it cut since JULY - no trims, no nothing - and my hair needs it if it's going to grow long & strong, baby!

5. Audrey Hepburn. I honestly think she is the epitome of perfect. I have watched Breakfast at Tiffany's so many times in the past three days it's a little sick. Granted, I haven't watched every single second of it each and every time since I have either been blogging or talking to someone, but it's been my go-to background noise while I'm working away. I want to go to Breakfast at Tiffany's (and wear a perfect Givenchy dress)!

I hope you are all having a great day! After work, around 4 o'clock yesterday, snow flakes were starting to fall from the sky. Why is it beginning to feel a lot like Christmas NOW and not around the actual holidays!? Erg. Anyway, it continued snowing throughout the night and now we have probably over a foot of snow on the ground! I told my dad he has to drive me to my hair appointment since my car is buried in the snow. At least the snow plow has gone by!

Dreary days

Walmart leggings, AE gray leather booties, Bluenotes striped shirt, H&M pearl earrings (although you can hardly see them)

Good afternoon everyone! I have had my fair share of trying out the blogging world, but this time I figure since I have so much time on my hands, I might as well try again!

I just want to start off by saying that this blog will not only be about fashion, but a place to keep the pictures that I love, document my life, etc. It will be a way for me to be creative somewhere other than the kitchen, as my ingredients are slowly starting to dwindle as I continue to cook!
Anyway, today I started off the day remembering those soldiers that fought for our country (I live in Canada, btw). At this year's Rememberance Day I stood beside an old man that told me about his experiences in the war. I began to think of how he must've felt, what he could be feeling inside. I myself was feeling absolutely freezing, although I was wearing my boyfriend Brandon's Tommy Hilfiger thermal shirt over my long sleeve (thermal not pictured), two pairs of socks (not pictured), and a pair of wooly gloves and a big jacket (also not pictured). However, the ceremony was quite nice despite the rain, and he was an interesting man to chat with, nonetheless.

I am off to finish my lunch & find more pictures! Have a great day everyone!
