Classic Beauty

Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn have been beauty icons ever since they made it big. Hollywood was changed when these remarkable women hit the scene. Suddenly, fashion was evolving, the way people portrayed women was changing, and people were starting to notice what a huge difference being a woman could make. To me, these women are role models who have overcome hardship while at the same time dealing with fame. Although I have not experienced any of this, I admire not only their beauty and talent, but their dedication to their trade as well.

Marilyn Monroe is known for her platinum blonde hair, beauty mark, and her curves. If you take a look at some of today's icons, they have a lot in common with Marilyn Monroe. Take Madonna, Gwen Stefani, and Christina Aguilera, for example.

Audrey Hepburn is, to me, the epitome of class and elegance. Her style was simple, yet refined. She used her tall, slim figure to her advantage and wore flowing dresses, capri pants, and men's button-down shirts. She made the little black dress famous on the big screen, thanks to Breakfast at Tiffany's. In addition, Audrey always pulled her look together either with a classic camel trench coat or the perfect bag.

Which old Hollywood star matches your style the most?

  1. Audrey's style most appeals to me, but I'm not sure I could compare my own to hers! She was too fabulous :)
