Spring Things & Sandals

Two of my favourite Spring things: fresh flowers & sandals. I can't wait to be able to throw on a pair of sandals without having my feet turn to ice cubes the moment I step out the door.

As always, here's some vain Instagram shots of myself. In the first picture I'm wearing a blue anorak. Really, guys, it's not a monkey wrenchin' mechanic suit, I swear! However, after the day I wore this I decided I don't like it anymore. Isn't that always how it works? In contrast, I do love my housecoat. That thing is never leaving my life. In fact, I caught Brandon napping on the couch under my housecoat. Um, I hope there's not going to be custody issues (clearly it's mine)!

And if anyone would like to donate to my Red Valentino cutest-sandals-on-the-planet-fund, I would be forever grateful to you. ;)

February Round-Up

After today, February will be long gone. I can't say that anything life changing or earth shattering happened for me this month aside from the fact that I ran 11 miles as my longest long run to date and ate a LOT (I'm talking colossal amounts) of candy. However, I wanted to share with you some photos from February that somehow got lost in the shuffle. Or rather, I forgot about them, rediscovered these hidden treasures & decided to share the bounty with you all today. You're welcome ;)

1. Coffee Crisp Cappuccinos during a breakfast date with B. Yes, they are as good as they sound. You get free refills, too!
2. Valentine's Day socks from my mama. My feet were feelin' the love.
3. Another picture of my feet, since I don't think you've had enough yet. More specifically, here are my fabulous running shoes that are ridiculously flexible and light and speedy. I have began to count the miles I put on these babies too. I loved my old Adidas shoes a little TOO much, and went over the suggested maximum 500 miles on a pair. Oops. I love shoes and I love running!
4. Christmas is around the corner! No, this Santa hand lotion was under my bed, and I just happened to find it while looking for my (coincidentally) Christmas-themed pajama pants.

On to March!

The Weekend via Instagram

I know it's already half way through the week & the weekend is soon drawing near, but I wanted to share with you some Instagram snaps of this past weekend. It wasn't too crazy, but it was a nice mix of relaxation and productivity. Here is what I did!

1. Adventures downtown, which included a soy chai tea latte at the Vancouver Art Gallery.

2. January Glymm box has arrived! I wasn't super impressed with this one (although it is only my second box), and I am unsure of whether I want to subscribe again for February. I should decide & cancel soon, though, otherwise it will pop up on my credit card statement soon.

3/4. Outfit for work! It's amazing how I can still get ready when functioning only on coffee (or so it seems).

And plans for THIS weekend? Well, a movie night with a good friend is currently on the schedule. On a good note, however, I registered for the last three classes I need to complete my program at school. I will officially be finished on June 28th of THIS YEAR! Yay! Thank you, VCC, for offering all the classes during the 2011/2012 year & not skipping any. This makes me quite happy and excited to move on with my life and future career!

The Weekend via Instagram

Despite a fairly uneventful weekend that mainly consisted of coffee, cookies & running (who knew that cookies and candy aren't the best fuel for running?), it was still an enjoyable one. It is the second week of school now, and I am already learning a lot of stuff I never knew before, especially in my textiles class. Additionally, Saturday marked the day I purchased my first "big kid" winter jacket - perfect timing too since the snow has began falling here in Vancouver. There really is nothing better on a snowy evening than baking cookies, too! I hope you all had a great weekend. Here are some snaps I took!

1. Homemade chocolate chip peanut butter oatmeal cookies... Three left!
2. Apparently leaving curls pinned to your head makes for crazy hair when you finally take it out (four hours later). Needless to say, I wore my hair up that night.
3. Messages in the snow! Funny how that happens.

Busy

1. Delicious yam fries
2. Equally (if not more) delicious oatmeal: cinnamon, vanilla, banana, fresh blueberries & a touch of coconut milk.
3 & 4. A gorgeous rosy pink polish.
5. Taking pictures in my car before work.
6. No, I don't enjoy brushing my hair.
7. Happy birthday to my dad (August 26th)!
8. The best parents in the world. I am truly blessed!
9. An indoor Bonsai tree! It was a gift from my team at work & I am so excited for it!
10. Quick bathroom snap shot (I knew you guys missed these) before heading for lunch + shopping with my friend Sheridan. Unpictured American Eagle skinny jeans, Joe Fresh navy blue tank, Smart Set striped cardigan & gifted scarf.

I apologize for not posting that often. My life has been consumed with working & trying to catch up with people and pack my things before I head off to Vancouver. When is that happening? This weekend. My last day of work is tomorrow & I'll have a few days off before I go to the big city. I am nervous, excited, hopeful and ready, all at the same time.
