Boudoir Beauty

I think it is a universal gene that all girls have that makes us love anything to do with sleep wear. Whether it's a cozy pair of pajamas or something soft & silky to cuddle up in, there is nothing better than a new addition to the boudoir closet, especially if it's cute! For Christmas I received two pajama sets that both came with flannel pajama pants (then I proceeded to purchase another pair with a gift card), and I must say, if I could wear them every single day and not look like I belonged back in my bed, I totally would!

Here are some pieces I found that will keep you looking cute and most of all, keep you comfortable, too!
P.S. It is possible to look sexy (but sweet) without a quadruple push-up and totally over padded bra. Amazing, huh!?

1. Mesh Corset, Forever 21

3. Ruffled Baby-doll Sleep Set, Victoria's Secret
4. Sheer Baby-doll Sleep Set, Victoria's Secret

For the Love of Lace

Every girly girl loves her lace! Not only is it unbelievably feminine and pretty, but including lace in your outfit also adds the element of texture to your ensemble. You can find almost anything in lace now: shorts, skirts, dresses, pants, and it is a fabric that remains appropriate and chic in any season. Whether you dress it up for a night out, wear it on a date with a special someone, or dress it down for a coffee date with friends, lace is so versatile and can easily be incorporated into an outfit. Likewise, you can find accessories such as shoes, clutches, and necklaces (to name a few) wrapped in lace. Finally, Lace is timeless, classic, and beautiful. After all, there is nothing more lovely than a lady in lace!

2. Sleeveless lace dress, Zara, $59.99
3. Satin trim lace dress, Forever 21, $33.80

Easter!

1. A pancake breakfast following the morning Easter egg hunt! By this point I had eaten most of my chocolates, and I was glad to move onto something with a bit more substance. I topped my pancakes with banana and syrup - mmm!

2. Some Spring flowers with a hint of Easter!

3. Pretty scalloped detail on an H&M shirt my mom purchased for me while her & my sister were away.

4. Print details on the skirt she bought me as well! From Forever 21

5. Curled up on the couch with plaids and polka dots. Okay, life can't be fashionable all the time!

However, life sure can be fantastic. How I spent my Tuesday (so far. We haven't hit dinner time yet): running/working out in the morning, cleaning & organizing my room (which included junking out my magazine collection from FOUR years ago as well as clothing I don't wear anymore), eating a yummy salad for lunch, & laying in bed watching Sex & the City. See, as much as I love having Brandon around, sometimes it's nice to have the big screen TV (complete with surround sound) all to myself. Ha :)

St. Patty's Stripes

I started off St. Patty's Day with a green monster smoothie! For any of you who read food/fitness blogs, you've probably seen the smoothie + spinach mix before. Well, it's one of my favourites (I had one this morning as well), and it seemed fitting for the occasion! My mom also reminded me that I needed to wear green. I felt a little silly in this shirt, mainly because I've lost weight and it's baggy and just looks weird from the front. Anyway, it did the trick.

I'm wearing: Striped shirt from Old Navy, Pashu skinny jeans, Forever 21 flower bobby pin, Dollhouse via Winners oxford shoes, Gap necklace.

Have a fabulous Friday everyone! I know I'm a bit behind on outfit posts STILL. I'm debating whether I should post today's outfit TODAY or wait until tomorrow. Speaking of tomorrow, more work. Woooh. On the up side, I'm seeing my best friend Lauren as she's home for the weekend from school. I can't wait until I move to Vancouver & we can hang out more often!

Ciao for now!

Print-tastic!

All images from Forever 21, and all under $20.00!

I know minimalism is a huge trend for spring, but I can't help but long for some fun prints and vibrant colours in my life. Although colour blocking is a great way to add a splash of brightness, floral and tribal prints are definitely catching my eye. To me, mixing things up with a cute floral dress (pictured above) with some neutral oxfords or heels is like the best of both worlds. No fuss, but chic at the same time. In addition, the middle tribal print dress is a great transitional piece - a summer cut for when the weather starts getting hot, but fall colours to pair with cozy cardigans, knit tights, and leather riding boots. Who says you have to pack up ALL of your wardrobe as the seasons change?

Ladylike

1. Quilted clutch, Forever 21, $24.80

2. Puff sleeve dress, Forever 21, $22.80

3. Silver and pearl bracelets, Forever 21, $10.80

4. Nude patent oxfords, Forever 21, $17.80

5. Sheer floral tunic, Forever 21, $17.80

As I was browsing one of my favourite (and affordable!) websites, I got an idea for a blog post. All of these items are so lady like and so perfect for the upcoming spring season. Although spring is calling for neutrals and a minimal approach when it comes to colours, the nude oxfords and feminine bracelets can accessorize anything and bring a personal twist to those neutral hues. I especially like the quilted purse - it will fill the void of a designer quilted purse, until that day comes! In addition, the puff sleeve dress would look good with any of these items. Accessorize it with the casual oxfords and a cardigan for day, then slip on a pair of strappy heels and pile on the bracelets for some added evening glamour. All of this online browsing is making me want to shop!

November 11th

Both dresses are from Forever 21. I want these. A lot.
I also just devoured a bowl of cucumbers. The good thing about veggies is that you can eat LOTS and not feel guilty!
