Dimpled Darling

Dimples! thrifted sweater, hair pulled into a lazy bun, red bow flats from Payless Shoes, a delicious beast of a salad packed with nutrients & all kinds of good stuff, tonight's dinner. It's dinners like these that make me thankful for my love of running/being active. I can eat, eat, eat & then work it off so I can still fit my clothes. Ha ha! In all honesty though, spaghetti is number one!

Have a fabulous Thursday night everyone!

Overload

1. I was trying to take a cool shot with some sun spots & whatnot, but I ended up with this. Yes, a ghost is carrying the camera. Spooky!

2. Sneaking shots of Brandon while we were out on a drive. I'm not so sneaky considering he is rather posed in this. Thanks for cooperating, B!

3. I decided to put on my best face for you guys. Cute, hey? Frightening, really...

And obviously the rest are pictures of me. I thought it would be kind of funny to put them on here. Although I do make funny faces, I figured an overload of weird expressions would be the cherry on top of this goofy cake.

I am off to find some more fashionable pictures. You guys deserve more than my blue steel look.

Wearing thrifted sweater, Walmart sunglasses (definition of class here), Old Navy shirt, and black leggings (not pictured).

Red, White & Knit

1. Thrifted Grandpa sweater, Old Navy oversized red shirt, Pashu skinny jeans & the same Payless gray ankle boots from Wednesday's post.

2. Silly smiles in the bathroom!

3. Cookie Friday! Thank you to Tina from Carrots N Cake for introducing me to this. I was convinced that my day would be fueled by healthy eating - spinach salad, veggies & an orange for lunch, lots of water, and a bowl of oatmeal to get me through the morning - but I was tempted by the bakery down the street from my work. I ended up buying two of these cookies. One for me, one for Brandon.

4. I whipped up a gingerbread smoothie when I got home (also from Carrots N Cake). Seriously delicious! In the mix: light soy milk, a handful of ice, banana, flaxseed meal, and cinnamon and ground ginger. Try it. You'll like it!

Happy Friday lovelies!

Cozy Cardigans

Hello everyone! First off, I just want to apologize for not posting yesterday. After work I went to Lauren's house, and we watched Sex & the City 2! Of course, every time Miranda came in a scene we had something constructive to say (in a criticizing kind of way). At one point when they're in Abu Dhabi about to ride camels, Miranda comes out in this crazy tie-dyed pant suit-like outfit and a cowboy hat. Really? They wear that in the Middle East? I came home after and went straight to bed! For some reason I have been so sleepy all week. I know the culprit (staying up late and waking up early), but I'm the complaining type (sometimes). I like my sleep!

1 -3: Lauren and I had a picture taking session in her bathroom! It had been nearly a month since we saw each other last, so it was great to be able to catch up with her, gossip & visit!

4. My outfit from yesterday. As I got dressed for work, I was trying to pick between two other cardigans before I finally decided that I wanted something big, cozy, and warm. My big, cozy, and warm pick was the grandpa sweater! It's not the prettiest thing (although I honestly don't think it's the most heinous sweater out there), but it's one of the warmest sweaters I have!

I worked at the restaurant this afternoon. Things were slow at first, but they definitely picked up! A big table of eleven came in for lunch, as well as people visiting from Victoria and other locals wanting a bite to eat. All the food smells so great, and I got to try to BBQ pulled pork sandwich - mmm, so delicious! If you guys are ever on Vancouver Island (or if you live here already), try out Odika's in Chemainus. Seriously - YUM!

Holly xoxo

Sunny Sundays

1. I have been looking for a pair of boots like these, and although I have seen them in different variations, none of them really jump out at me enough to buy them. The moody black hues in this picture remind me of a rainy day. It's sunny here, but sometimes a rainy day brings out great fashion!

2. I LOVE this sweater. Slouchy enough for effortless style and comfort, and I could totally see myself wearing it with some leggings or dark skinny jeans in the colder weather (with a pair of killer shoes, obviously). Any leads as to where this is from?

3. I have also been looking for an oversized cardigan for quite a while. This reminds me of a blanket, kind of, and it looks so incredibly cozy! I like the feminine details added in this outfit as well - the lace slip with scalloped edges balances out the whole outfit. I must find one of these!

All pictures above are from weheartit.com!

I hope you all enjoy your Sunday! I have no plans right now, besides wanting to go for a walk and have some left over turkey dinner for lunch! I painted my nails earlier this morning as well (#26 Lovely Lilac by Sally Hansen), and perhaps I'll do my toes later. We'll see how the day progresses!

What are your plans for today? Anything exciting?

Talk to you soon!
