I am thankful my iPhone allows me to snap pictures of my outfits in a hurry. While it isn't the full thing (which is ultimately better), it gives you a taste of the smaller details. I will try to take some better pictures soon. Unfortunately the last time I tried to have an outfit photoshoot, not only was it freezing outside, but people kept on walking by as my self-timer was JUST about to go off. How rude, people. Can't you see I'm taking important photos for my blog!? Pfft.

Anyway, just a quick post with some quick photos, but I will see you all tomorrow! I hope you have a wonderful day! :)

Hand & Nails

I never used to be such a nail polish fiend, but over the last year or so, I have gathered quite the collection. I generally gravitate towards bright, bold colours, as well as pinks & some glittery hues as well. What's more fun than a pop of sparkly red on your toes or bright yellow on your nails? For me, nail polish is treated like an accessory. It's a small, largely available luxury for women, and can add interest & a pop of colour to any outfit. However, it's always important to keep your hands and nails in great condition. As we all know, excessive use of polish can cause staining (and that's never a good look on anyone!)

My recommendations for nail care? Nail Envy by OPI and a good moisturizer/cuticle oil! I keep a small body butter in my purse at all times, as well as in the console of my car & in countless spots in the bathroom/bedroom. Bonus? Your hands will remain super soft & your nails will be moisturized and healthy!

Pretty Polishes

Have you ever seen a nail polish & instantly fell in love? Every time I go into Sally's Beauty Supply, I seem to get lured in by at least two nail polishes simply because I "love" them. I picked up these three the other day, and although I was slightly disappointed in Flying Dragon when I applied it to my toes - it's a matte finish & I'm more of a glossy girl - I absolutely adored Sexy in the City & Ruby Pumps. There's something about glitter that just gets me. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that way!

What are your must-have Summer polishes?

A Date With: My Sister

Dress by Costa Blanca, sandals by Spring Shoes, purse by Kensie Girl (not that you can see it!)

Patio seating at The Cactus Club! Perfect spot to dine in the sunshine!

My lovely sister, Sarah.

Yes, I take weird pictures in public too. What a treat for my family/friends/Brandon.

No dinner is complete without a dessert. For us, it meant Starbucks! I also bought Sarah a double chocolate chunk cookie, because she's the bomb dot com.

I am so lucky to live in a place near the ocean. I mean, what a beautiful sight while driving home from a delicious dinner in the sun! It was a wonderful day!

Mini Beauty Haul

China Glaze Turned up Turquoise and Naked. Naked is a gorgeous shimmery pink - perfect on my toes for summer!

I'm always on look out for some new beauty products to add to my collection. I am familiar with Aussie hair products already - their shampoos & conditioners are super moisturizing, and I use one of the hairsprays on the odd occasion that I curl my hair. However, I hadn't tried either of these. I sprayed some of the leave-in conditioner in my hair when I came home. Not only does it smell delicious, but my hair is ridiculously soft and smooth. I can't wait to try the smoothing treatment!

I apologize for the bad lighting here!
I stopped at Sally's Beauty Supply in search of some nail polishes. I found these two (along with countless others, but I settled on these China Glaze polishes) as well as some bobby pins (always necessary!) and their Beauty Club Card. Now I can splurge on polishes (and save what, maybe fifty cents? Yeah, yeah).
