Ready for a day of work!

I am also in need of a new black blazer. This one is an oversized style & I am quickly getting tired of it. It's just an awkward length and shape on my frame, so I am on the hunt for something different.
Any suggestions?

I am a huge fan of Instagram as you can see. Perhaps it's because I can be pale as a ghost or nearly carrot orange! The options are endless (I could even be gray if I wanted to go for that zombie-chic look). Since I am so original with my usernames, you can find me under the name HLDFashion. Summer Inspired

 

The other day I decided to update the collage frames in my room. I usually focus them around fashion & fun pictures I find in magazines, so naturally, I did the same this time around. However, I wanted to look for pictures that would continue to inspire me - ergo Chanel, Coco Rocha, stripes (a favourite of mine), Marilyn Monroe, etc. Making collages is a fun way to document your inspiration and hold it in one place. It's easy to write things down that inspire you, but it's so much more fun & pretty to take scissors to paper and make a picture of everything you love!

I wore this dress on my last day at the spa. It's comfortable and perfect for summer! I found it at Winners in Nanaimo a while ago, but it was my first time actually wearing it out. Hallelujah for nicer weather (at that time, anyway. It's ugly and cold now)!

True Blue

I found this dress while shopping in Nanaimo with Brandon & his little brother. As usual, Holly ventured off on her own while Brandon & Ryan made some new BFFS at EB Games. What is it with boys and video games (and girls and shopping)? Nevertheless, I found this dress and a couple other finds I will be sharing with you all soon!

The dress has tiny little bows all over it. Oopsies, I guess I should've documented that for you instead of a million + pictures of myself. However, you did luck out. Those who are Facebook friends were blessed with ALL of the pictures! Anyway, I wore this dress for a shopping date with my friend Lauren. We were off to Victoria (two times in one week. My poor car & my poor wallet, shelling out gas money. Ugh) to lunch and browse the shops. We went to a cute little eatery called Cafe Bliss. It specializes in raw & natural foods, and wow is it ever good! I will definitely be going back. Oh, and showing you what I bought ;)

Floral Fun

The best thing about florals is you can wear them with anything.

1. Floral T-shirt paired with high waist denim shorts (thrifted)

2. Floral T-shirt with Urban Behavior purple & black striped cardigan & jeggings (I'm bad with wearing these as pants, but at least in real life my shirt is longer).

I am excited to wear the denim shorts with some cute tank tops and floaty blouses this summer. They are a fun way to stay cool, on trend & cute - all at the same time! I will definitely be wearing them with this floral shirt too. The best thing about a floral print is that you can sneak it into your outfit no matter the season - in muted colours for fall/winter & brighten them up in the spring/summer!

Recent Outfits

First off, I want to apologize for the blurry photos! I'm 95% sure that my camera is on it's last life (and the other 5% doesn't want to give it up & swap it for a new one!). Above are a few recent pictures of an outfit I wore to work one afternoon. I'm not too sure who makes the dress, but it is ridiculously comfortable (and cute, and borrowed from my sister's closet). I wanted to make it look more fitted, ergo why I added the (thrifted) braided belt.

What's your go to outfit for work? Now that it's sunny, I think I will be breaking out the dresses more often!

I hope your weekend went well, everyone! I spent mine working, running errands with Brandon (where I was sneaky and took videos of him while we were driving), clubbing on Saturday night with some girls and hanging out & watching movies.

Pure Anada mineral make up from Manitoba! I bought a HOT PINK lip gloss called Pink Orchid.

Make up station - we had make up demonstrations, as well as spa demonstrations (such as scrubs and exfoliators, moisturizers, skin care, etc.)!

Products & potions! We feature three lines at the spa: Sea Flora (seaweed based) from Sooke, British Columbia , Silk Road (gentle and tea-based) from Victoria, British Columbia, and Purity Cosmetics/100% Pure (fruit based) from Californ-I-A!

Grape drank. Just kidding. Blueberry juice! It's full of poly phenols (antioxidants). It was so yummy!

A couple of prizes we gave away! Pedi buff, choice of facial, four goody bags with different products inside, lip glosses & samples of product when you spent $25.00.

This ruffled one-shoulder dress was a good idea up until it started to pour with rain on my way to the spa. Fortunately I was inside for the duration of set up-open house-clean up, so I stayed warm and cozy (and dry)!

Hello friends! I apologize for the hiatus. I've been working, visiting with friends & relaxing. It's always nice to have that combination (especially when good food is thrown into the mix). Anyway, this is my outfit from yesterday. I wore the same outfit a month or so ago, but with the cardigan open... Hey, when it's buttoned up it's practically a new top! I used the dry shampoo above and it smells wonderful - however, it's probably best to use when you HAVEN'T gone for a run. I'm so unhygienic, I know.

Hello, clear blue skies!

I can now check "mint green nail polish" off my shopping list!

Yesterday was one of those days where it was slow yet busy at the same time. I had zoomed through my to-do list at work (and the one I made for myself), so Brandon and I took a short trip into Duncan for some iced coffees from McDonalds (don't knock 'em til you try 'em!), oil for my car (I'm glad my man is the handy type), and some new running capris. My first 10K race is tomorrow, so we will see how these pants work out - literally! Now, 10K isn't exactly the length of event one would carb load over, but I need all the energy I can get. Thank you mom for making home made pizza tonight!
